There is nothing like your first breath underwater. It takes a little time to get used to how it feels, but most participants realize how easy scuba diving is within a few minutes.
The biggest challenge instructors face with the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program is not coaxing participants into the water but coaxing them out when the program has been completed. This Discover Scuba Experience last for approximately 2 1/2 hours. You will complete an online academic session, some time in our confined water area, learning some important skills. Once you have completed these, you will be taken on a guided open water dive on our fabulous house reef.

From the time I walked into the shop at Cozumel Dive Academy until I changed back into my street clothes I was well taken care of. The staff at the office was super helpful and professioinal. Roman was great helping to provide equipment and showing us to our dive location. Pepe' was a supe great instructor! He was patient, encouraging and right with us the whole way. Highly recommend this excursion with this dive shop.

Marcelo is wonderful to work with. He is sociable, friendly and patient. He brings a great attitude and sense of humor to the activity. I would definitely recommend diving with Marcelo. He is super chill, knowledgeable and great to work with. We also had someone do gopro vids/photos for us, which was a great value.
The only thing I would say is slightly below expectations for a Cozumel dive is the location. While there are some coral and fish to see, it is far from the best spot to dive in Cozumel. You also get one dive and no snacks or drinks are provided. Having said that, if this is your first time, you may like being so close to land to learn basic skills. And it is a good value for the money.

Clay was great! My 12 year old who battles anxiety had a panic attack and Clay stayed calm. My 15 yr old wants to become a marine biologist now. Will definitely do it again!

Amazing experience! I had some previous scuba experience but my boyfriend didn't. The instructor was very knowledgeable, kind and patient. He walked us through everything and took extra care of my boyfriend who was having a difficult time getting his breathing right. 10/10 would highly recommend!

The shop and instructors were great. Unfortunately the weather was not good so we did not have a chance to actually get in the water but I’m giving a 5 star review because they clearly were looking out for our safety and enjoyment and therefore canceled. They called to tell us, we happened to be outside and chatted with them. They offered to get a taxi for us and to help get anything else scheduled that we might want to do.
