Excellent snorkel adventure in beautiful Cozumel waters

Sting rays swam around and through our group several times. We were able to snorkel four locations with varying depths and attractions.

My husband and I took a day tour to Cozumel to snorkel and this tour was absolutely amazing! Our guides were extremely friendly and made our first snorkeling experience a blast! They even took us to a 4th location to snorkel to see Sea Turtles with was incredible. They are located right off the ferry port so it was easily accessible and they taxied us to the port where the boat for the tour was and taxied us back to the ferry port at the end. It was very convenient and I would highly recommend using Maybee tours for your snorkeling excursion!
Great snorkeling at a great price

It was a blast! We meet at the ferry pier. Then traveled by taxi to the marina. Once we got on the boat, off to sea we went. We stopped at one location and snorkeled then we swam to the 2nd location. We got back in the boat and went to the 3rd location. All areas were beautiful.
Once we finished the snorkeling we went to a sand bar area where there were plenty of other boats. You could walk around or just sit on the sand. The tour guide provided us we drinks and then some guac & chips. We returned to the marina and then they provided a taxi ride back to the ferry pier. I believe our guide was Rafael with Gustavo as our boat driver. Both provided excellent service. Would highly recommend.

Trip was great! Our guide was awesome and we saw turtles, sharks, stingrays, and starfish! We had enough time in each place and got beers and guacamole at the end

The guides were great and it was such a nice touch to have some home made guacamole with a beer on a sand bar after snorkeling. I highly recommend!
Great Trip - Great Tour Guides

Trip overall was great! The boat captain (Jesus) and snorkeling guide (Alejandro) made the trip. They took us to the three scheduled stops - which were all great. Plus, they added another stop because we asked if we could/would see turtles. They always got us to good locations and away from any crowds. And the boat had a small glass bottom window which was nice.
Yes, the boat does not have a bathroom, but it was a relatively small boat (less than 12-15 people) - which we liked the smaller group with one guide. We saw some other tours on boats (catamarans) with about 30 to 40+ people.
The trip started a little frustrating though trying to get to the boat. We were scheduled to start at 12:00 noon at Maybe Tour booth at Muelle Fiscal (Ferry Dock). We arrived at 11:50am. We were told we would leave in 20 minutes, it was 40 minutes later (12:30pm). We were told the taxi ride was 5 minutes, it was 15 minutes (12:45pm). Then they said the boat would leave in 10 minutes, it was 15 minutes (1:00pm). But once we left, the trip was great. Even with the hour getting to the boat, we still had plenty of snorkeling time.
FYI - The taxi/bus ride that took 20 minutes to get to the boat passed our Cruise Port on the way. So on the taxi ride back they dropped us off at the Cruise Port which was only 5 minutes away.
Suggestion: If you are taking this excursion via a cruise ship, you may want to make arrangements to go directly to the Maybe Tours boat dock (5 minutes south) versus going 10 minutes farther north to their booth at the Ferry Dock. (And taxi would be shorter trip and cheaper).

Highlight of our cruise vacation

I booked this at the very last minute and am so happy we did! We arrived from the Disney Fantasy on 12/19/22 at Punta Langosta, about a 15-minute cab ride to where this excuision meets. (This is a different location from where some of the other cruise ships dock; the tour's directions will tell you that it's a 5-minute cab ride, but that's if your ship docks in another location. Punta Langosta is just a bit further if you're coming on a Disney ship, FYI.) You'll find a cab shack after you go down the stairs in the Punta Langosta port.Cab fare was about $5 per person and they do take American dollars.
While we were somewhat hesitant about booking with a 3rd party provider, the reviews here gave me confidence that this would work... and boy, did it! This was a highlight of our cruise vacation and our kids (ages 18, 17 and 13) had an amazing experience. May-Be Tours was friendly and professional. They took us to 3 snorkeling sites and one sandbar area where we were able to just hang out in the water while rays swam around us. While snorkeling, we saw tons of fish, a barracuda (from a distance), sea turtles, rays, and lots of star fish. They'll take underwater photos of you snorkeling and offer them to you for about $40 (for all the photos) at the conclusion of your tour. As a family of 5, we felt that was a fantastic price!
I highly recommend this tour and would not hesitate to book with them again. Please note, if you are a more experienced snorkeler, this may not be the excursion for you, but if you're new to snorkeling or inexperienced, this could be the perfect fit for your family.

Highlight of our trip

This was a highlight of our cruise vacation. We had one day in Cozumel and went snorkeling with MayBe tours. Everything was great. Decent size boat held about 16 vacationers and 3 crew members. The reefs were beautiful! Saw 2 huge sea turtles and hundreds of starfish. The trip ended with a stop in a waist deep, crystal clear water where we enjoyed guac and chips and beers!

This was an amazing snorkeling tour with Maybe Tours. We were nervous to book an excursion outside of Royal Caribbean but really wanted to go to El Cielo which Royal Caribbean didn't offer. We booked this excursion and it was the best! Our family of 3 took an $8 cab ride to the ferry port where we checked in. There were other families from our cruise doing the same. We were then put into another cab and taken to the marina which had clean restrooms. Once there we were introduced to our guide Angel and photographer Jose. We had 16 passengers on our boat including 3 children. Everyone was comfortable under the shaded canopy and had plenty of room. Captain Lalo did a great job and it was such a fun ride with great music. We were given life jackets for the ride and had the option to wear them in the water. Clean masks, snorkels, and fins were also provided. First we went to Columbia Reef which was beautiful. So many fish! We then followed the guide and swam to Palancar Reef; also beautiful with lots of life. The captain made a surprise stop next and we got to snorkel with 2 sea turtles! After that we went to see the star fish and finally El Cielo. Angel served us fresh guacamole with chips, beer, water, and juice. It was the most amazing time! The staff was very friendly and in the water kept everyone on track and together, also pointing out interesting species along the way. This tour is good for children and adults with swimming experience. Once back at the marina, we were hailed a taxi and driven back to the port instead of the ferry terminal since everyone in the cab was from a cruise (we tipped the driver extra). We did the 10 a.m. tour and were back at port at 2:30 allowing time to shop and look around. We would love to go again one day. If you are coming from a cruise and wondering if this tour is worth it, IT IS!
Snorkel Tour Review

It was easy to exit the cruise terminal and catch a taxi to the Marina Fonatur where we met our MAYBE TOUR guide for this trip. We had a small boat with 14 guests, and 2 outboard motors. No bathroom. A little choppy and wet getting over to the reefs. Our guide helped us on the first reef by pulling us thru the water while we held on to a life ring for extra stability. He was able to dive to the bottom holding his breath for long periods of time and blow big air bubbles for us. He was wonderful and made our trip fun. We stopped at another location to see the star fish and saw sting rays and a large barracuda fish as a bonus at the sandbar! We lost one of the engines for the ride home, so it took us a little extra time to get back from our tour. We then had to walk out to the marina entrance and flag down a taxi to take us back to the cruise port. It only took a few minutes to flag down a taxi on the highway. Taxi fare was $10 each way, a fixed rate posted at the taxi stand. Overall this was a good tour for the fee. We had one young lady from Israel, another family of 4 from Madrid, a few guys from the UK and another couple from Australia, so it was a fun tour to speak with all the guests. The snorkeling guide, photographer and boat driver were all friendly and very helpful.

Overall the snorkel tour was good, but got off to a bad start. We met at the specified location and the four of us were put in a cab. Not knowing where we were going we ended up at a marina and had to walk around to find a contact who took us over to the boat. Weather was not the best, but snorkeling was good and guide was great
