Great private VIP Treatment by Maybe Tours

Rafael, Gustav and paparazzi Harrison were wonderful. We chartered a private snorkeling trip as an alternative to the group trips offered by Carnival.
Taxi ride to Marina was less than five minutes and cost us 10 bucks. When we arrived there were TONS of other boats and tour groups around so it seemed a bit confusing. Nothing to be worried about or alarmed by, about 20 minutes before our reservation time of 10am the Maybe Travel representative arrived and had our name on the list. He pointed us to one of our boat mates and away we went. We zipped out of the marina in a 200hp outboard 20ft boat. The ride south hugging the coast was absolutely beautiful. Rafael briefed us on what the plan was for the day - he told us we would be seeing some reefs with all sorts of fish, that we would also see a baby shark, some sea turtles, a star fish oasis and then end the day with some ceviche in some clear shallow water with stingrays!everything he told us we would do happened! The baby shark was in a very small and specific reef so I found it amazing that they were able to remember exactly where that bad boy was hiding! We swam with two beautiful sea turtles and many other fish! We were within 10 feet of a huge barracuda- probably 3ft of larger! Every stop we made paparazzi Harrison was with us diving up and down getting all sorts of great GoPro pics and videos. We purchased the package for 125 because the shots were absolutely amazing! I wore a GoPro all day but got nothing as good as Harrison was able to get! Waters were a little choppy but becomes we swam with the current for the majority of the adventure, the effort seemed minimal. My 11 and 13 year old kids enjoyed this thoroughly and had no trouble with the swimming. Waist vests were optional to help with buoyancy but if you are a decent swimmer you won’t need one. Highly recommend this tour if you aren’t into the partying that some of the larger group adventures offer. We were looking for a private VIP experience for our family to enjoy Cozumel and that is exactly what we got!

We reserved this excursion before we arrived for a week of sun and relaxing. My wife and I got sick on the second day and weren’t able to go but our kids and their husbands went. They said they had trouble finding the Maybe Tour but once they found the boat everything went great. They took very good care of our adult kids and showed them some great snorkeling.
Great excursion for seeing lots of different sea life

The guides worked hard to find us the best snorkeling spots. Had all the gear we needed and answered all our questions. Made us delicious ceviche as a snack. We snorkeled for 3 hours and then the last hour was for snack and rest. We only stayed 30 minutes because the area became very crowded and loud and just wasn't our scene. Was a short taxi ride from the port to the marina.

Meeting place was only a few minutes away by a $16 taxi ride. Taxis are regulated with set prices so very safe and easy. Boat staff and guide were all excellent. The captain knew his boat and how to maneuver thru waves smoothly. Great ride to the reef. The best reefs in Cozumel are pretty deep, better for diving than snorkeling, but this tour showed a good variety. Palancar is 40+ ft deep so fish are far away but water is clear and it was fun watching the scuba divers below. At the last q stops we saw turtles, rays and a bunch of starfish. Our grandkids of 8 and 10 are water rats and loved the snorkeling and playing volleyball with the boat guide at a sandbar stop where we also had a fantastic ceviche snack. Overall a great day and good value. Just being with our family of 6 was so much beter than cruise ship excursion. Thanks staff!

First time snorkeling, did not know what to expect. We were all extremely pleasantly surprised and pleased with our experience. Staff were excellent (Chino & Juan). Very memorable experience for family and teen aged group.

We had an amazing time with the crew!! Absolutely the highlight of our whole trip. Our 3 year old had so much fun and floated on the surface while we snorkled. Ceviche & beers in the shallow white sand beach with sting rays swimming by was a memory we will look back on forever!! Would 100% recommend. Thanks for all the laughs!
