Making a cigar and learning about the details involved in a good cigar was SO MUCH FUN! Ana and the team were fantastic! We loved the Mojitos! We can’t wait to bring in the New Year with our special smoke. The beach was Meh. There needs to be more swimming without boats and such. We rented an umbrella and some towels and enjoyed the endless Pina Coladas and guacamole! Make A CIGAR with Ana.

Fantastic Cuban Cigar Rolling Experience!

Ana & team were awesome. She is Cuban having rolled cigars for 31 years. Interesting hands-on experience for our family learning how they are rolled. You can’t smoke the end product for 2 weeks. Highly recommend. Location is in Playa Mia Grand BeCh Park

Great time for the whole family

We booked the Deluxe Beach Break excursion through our NCL ship (the EPIC). As soon as we arrived a gentleman named Oscar greeted us and found us 5 beach chairs altogether. Plenty to do for my husband and I as well as our 3 high school teenagers. Oscar was very attentive to us all day. Food was great, lockers available and a huge plus in my book, the bathrooms were super clean.

Tour driver arrived very promptly and was very professional. We felt the vehicle was clean and operated by driver in a safe manner. Everything with our tour was well organized and tour operators were very courteous and professional. We went to Playa Mia but did not stay long as our intent when booking this tour was to go to Cozumel for shopping. My suggestion would be to also offer a Cozumel shopping tour (without the Playa Mia beach break) for those just interested in getting to Cozumel. It would have been so easy for us to be a part of the Playa Mia group and then part ways on our own once arriving in Cozumel. All that said, we were very pleased with the tour.

Cruise ship excursion “my turn” vs. my wife’s turn to pick, it was great and it turned out she probably had more fun than me: Lalo and Anna were experts, made it fun and it was very relaxed. I admit that I had some anxiety about craft stuff. They were so nice and so helpful. Super chill. They also had a nice humidor selection of Cuban cigars for purchase.

We got to the beach Playa Mia a bit after everyone. The cigar thing is in the front and I watched the buses roll in. I expected a zoo on the food and beach. Nope. Plenty of room. Food line moved really well. People at Playa Mia seemed really, really concerned that we were happy and comfortable. It’s true in a lot of the Caribbean but here especially.

Fake review unless there is a CON so : Playa Mia has a big ugly iron pier right down the middle of it. It is a little off putting. But the beach, activities, people and goods and services (we bought more stuff here than any other excursion) more than makes up for this hideous eyesore in paradise.

Extra: I told a guy on the ship about the cigar thing. He asked if they let me try various Cuban cigars as samples. When I said no, he was disappointed and told a friend. But it never occurred to me that they would let me “sample” $20-100 cuban cigars. You too reader I hope. But if not, yeah there is no free sample. You make your own and can buy Cubans. I hope you try it if you like cigars or crafts/making stuff learning stuff.
